This course continues the process of molding the minds of the next generation of network defenders. I don't really teach them how to break into networks during this course, but some students have claimed otherwise. I do focus on trying to understand the tools and techniques available to the potential attacker.

We deliberately avoid the use of the term "hacker" in this course. The connotations are inaccurate, and not helpful to understanding the threats against your network.
