Client/server computing is a technique for partitioning computer applications that lends itself easily to distribution over multiple computers. The big picture is easy to understand, but the details are easier to see when someone who has been down the path before can guide you.

The prescribed text for the course is Amjad Umar's Object-oriented Client/Server Internet Environments. Object-oriented techniques and Internet implementations are par for client/server applications.
